Personal Statement

“What I love most about being a family lawyer and mediator is that I witness daily the strength of the human spirit. The vast majority of my clients overcome very difficult circumstances with dignity and grace. My being a part of their process and seeing them leave my office informed and empowered gives me a profound sense of personal satisfaction and accomplishment.”  — Heidi S. Tuffias

Inspiration

“I realized that the true function of a lawyer was to unite parties … the lesson was so indelibly burnt into me that a large part of my time during the twenty years of practice as a lawyer was occupied in bringing about private compromises of hundreds of cases. I lost nothing thereby — not even money, certainly not my soul.”  — Ghandi
